Inspired by an oyster – a strong shell with a bright, open core – our proposal for the Krulli competition creates a modern, sustainable living & working quarter rooted in the area’s industrial past.
A clear block structure restores the historic perimeter while a raised courtyard opens to the sun, forming a calm, green community heart. Timber and sustainable solutions reduce the carbon footprint and keep operating costs low. A balance of privacy and openness creates a safe yet vibrant urban space where home life extends into shared areas.
It is a new identity for Krulli – a place to live, work, and grow together.
